Business Efficiency

The enterprise must constantly seek out efficiency across all of its business silos and operations. In an ever changing environment efficient process and systems can mean the difference between remaining competitive and in most cases, providing superior service to the market.

The requirements to provide digital straight-through processing of customers, workflow approvals, and management of payment and disbursements within the electronic domain. This includes proven complete reconciliation to system(s) of record is a typical use case for Interfile's systems.

This capability is further enhanced by our third party data interfaces, which provide function rich integration capability for linking environments and departments together.

Good examples of this are our interfaces to National Treasury BAS (basic accounting system) to reconcile the Department of Home Affairs over the counter payments. Our national payroll interfaces connect our SARS e@syfile application to 300 000 companies and their respective payrolls.

These integrations become particularly important in:

  • Providing third party data to electronically enabled channels
  • Reducing the need for supporting documentation and the pre-requisite human intervention required to validate and process physical and electronic documents,
  • Opening data interoperability to departments for verification, registration and validation

This approach has proven its design methodology by reducing departmental turnaround times substantially. It also reduces process overhead costs and provides considerably more visibility into the efficiencies and productivity of the business.

Simple high level objectives include:

  • Client experience
  • Process efficiency
  • Information Intelligence
  • Platform and/ or Technology
  • Platform and/ or Technology

In understanding a Modernisation process of this nature, these disciplines must adhere to methodology within their silo whilst conforming to interoperability within an integrated organisation. All of which must be achieved within a specific phased and step-wise delivery approach which shows value early and lays foundation building blocks which enable future phases.

Approaching service-based digitization has to adhere to specific platform principles supporting open integration standards, service oriented architecture, and transactional based messaging which does not place undue overhead on skills acquisition and operational management such that the enterprise becomes beholden to specific technology partners.

Interfile's integrated delivery philosophy deliberately ensures a holistic skills transfer.

Interfile is pleased to participate in assisting organisations on their journey through the modernisation process and perhaps more importantly assisting organisations to own and manage the process into the future. Modernisation is not a light undertaking and has far reaching consequences across any enterprise.

Interfile prides itself on assisting customers to navigate through this often-complex road, leveraging a host of enterprise class, mission critical experience to avoid the pitfalls so often experienced by the enterprise when embarking on this new territory.
